IGP JOBE DIES, AMID A BRIEF ILLNESS; DIG SANYANG, AND OPERATIONS COMMISSIONER JALLOW ARE ALSO SICK!

The Inspector General of Gambia’s Police Force Mamour Jobe has died. Mr. Jobe passed away today. His death followed a brief sickness this past week. He was out of work last week amid reports that his diabetes illness had worsen. Jobe was seen by doctors at Afrimed. He was supposed to take a leave from his work and sought further treatment in the United Kingdom. But unfortunately, he couldn’t made it to the UK as planned.

His sudden demise has shocked the nation. Jobe is a native of Balanagar. He left kids and wives behind.

The State House was on the verge of recruiting for Jobe’s replacement, but the former police chief died before his planned UK trip.

In another GPF news, the commissioner of police operations Famara Jallow is also sick. He has been absent from work for about a month.

His boss AIG Landing Bojang was also out of work. Landing was away for for couple of weeks, seeking treatment in Casamance. He has recovered and is back to work.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Inspector General of police Abdoulie Sanyang is also said to be suffering from swollen legs, insiders at the police headquarters have intimated. Sanyang’s health hasn’t been fine lately, the insiders said. He comes to work dressed in mufti, and he often struggles while working within the building, the insiders further added.
