This is news from a source at State House. The NIA (SIS) DG Ousman Sowe is likely to be replaced and transferred to a foreign mission. He is likely to be replaced by Pa Moussa Jobarteh the Police Adviser. Jobarteh is also being named as the possible next National Security Adviser. My source said Jobarteh is already a regular visitor at State House and a close confidant of Barrow, and everything is set for him to move to state house as one of the president’s top security advisers.
Our source said Barrow will be making some major decisions because he is very interested in what the international community are saying about his government. President Barrow wants to see Gambia becomes more democratic but he is also struggling with his UDP people, which is his biggest distraction at the moment. He wants to show the whole world that he does not want to continue to be seen to be associated with people who were seen to be previously closely connected to the former president Yahya Jammeh.
So maybe it is true that Mai Ahmed Fatty is coming back because our source confirmed that he was recently seen at State House brought in by Jobarteh. Fatoumata Jallow Tambajang is also likely to be making a comeback, because she is doing some serious lobbying, but the president does not seem to trust her that much. However, she may be offered a low profile position to test her loyalty.
CDS Kinteh is safe for now and IGP Jobe is likely to be staying longer than anyone would expect. If anyone thinks Barrow is a fool, you will be dead wrong. You will see a lot of major changes after the UDP congress.
