The UDP leader has vowed that if elected into office on December 4th he is going to cancel President Barrow’s government budget for 2021-2022. He also stressed that come December 5th he is going to be declared as the winner of the elections.
Darboe was speaking in NIamina Dankunku during his nationwide tour. Darboe has been talking to his supporters about the UDP five point manifesto agenda.
According to Darboe, the UDP would submit its manifesto together with his nomination papers to the electoral commission.
The empowerment of Gambian youths, creating job opportunities, revamping the country’s health, education and economic sectors are high on their parry’s agenda.

Darboe has accused Barrow government of being bunch of thieves.
“ As Momodou Sabally would call them, they are bunch of squirrels who are bent on stealing our resources. They should be chased out and remove from the hole. Their days are numbered. On December 4th I will be elected President,” Darboe told his supporters.
According to Darboe, Barrow’s government has landed the country into high debt burden. He says the Jammeh and Jawara governments combined, the debt obtained by the Barrow government has outnumbered the two previous governments.
“Gambia’s unborn babies would be made to pay for a debt that they have not borrowed. Sadly, they are not putting the loans into good use,” Darboe remarked.
He says The Gambia needs a regime change, as he accused Barrow’s government of betraying the wishes and aspirations of Gambians.
Meanwhile, Darboe has received a rousing welcome in Jarra. He was received by the Mansakonko Area Council chairman on arrival in Jarra.
