The unfortunate death of army officer Pierre Mendy has been announced. Officer Mendy died today. He left a family behind.
Pierre was dictator Jammeh’s former bodyguard. He later had a fallout with Jammeh in March of 2006 after been accused of conspiring with the late CDS Ndure Cham to plot a coup against Jammeh’s regime.
In his TRRC testimony, Pierre Mendy, said he was brutally tortured while undergoing interrogations at the NIA. He was tortured by the jungullars.
